    There is an exciting opportunity for a level 3 therapist to join our award-winning team at Banbury’s Beauty Spa. We are looking for an energetic and dedicated therapist to work with us and look after our loyal clientele.

    Dermalogica and Lycon wax experience is desirable but not essential as we will provide the necessary training or conversions.

Banbury's Beauty Spa is a modern spa located in Launceston, Cornwall and offers a full range of beauty treatments. Whether your treatment is for a special day or a pampering treat for yourself, you will leave feeling refreshed, relaxed and at your best.

After 8 years of working within a busy hair salon, Claire opened Banbury's Beauty Spa in 2011.

At Banbury's we always strive to do more and continually improve our level of service and range of treatments.

MEET THE TEAM

Claire Banbury
PROPRIETOR
I’m Claire Banbury, founder and owner of Banbury’s Beauty Spa.

My career began at Saltash College, studying level 2 and 3 Beauty Therapy. From this, I progressed to completing my Cidesco Diploma - the crème de la crème of the beauty industry.

Banbury's Beauty Spa began in 2004, when I started alone in a single treatment room at a successful hair salon in Launceston. After five successful years, I took the plunge and branched out, opening my own boutique salon with three treatment rooms. Banbury’s grew from strength to strength leading me to open the current modern, contemporary premises in August 2015.

The beauty industry is my passion and I’m known for being a perfectionist, which is why I have an amazing following. After many years of experience it is impossible for me to choose just one favourite treatment. My focus is centred on helping people feel great about themselves. Specialising in both CACI facials and reflexology helps me to give my clients a confidence boost, enabling them to feel happy in their own skin again and aiding deep relaxation.

I love to research the latest in treatment technologies and product innovation, continuously bringing new treatments to the salon. Banbury’s Beauty Spa would not be the business it is today without our ever-growing, loyal clientele and team.

Hello, I'm Leah. I work part-time on reception. I have been with Banbury's since May 2017 and instantly loved the salon and the lovely team here. I have always had a passion for the beauty industry, and am qualified in Level 2 & 3 in Beauty Therapy, Guild of Beauty in Acrylic nails and have also completed many Dermalogica workshops and I am confident in advising clients on treatments and products.

Hi, I’m Hayley! My career in the beauty industry began over 12 years ago after completing my training at Cornwall College. Since then I have worked at many salons, spas and education centres across the South West, continuously building  my knowledge and expertise.

Accomplished in a multitude of treatments, I love to help people feel pampered and make time for themselves. I couldn’t possibly choose just ONE favourite treatment, but I love to work on tight shoulders, provide expert Dermalogica skincare and help to create the perfect brow & lash.

Working at Banbury’s with its fantastic treatment offering is great, because it allows me to tailor treatments to suit each of my individual clients' needs.

Hi, I’m Grace! I qualified with my NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy and NVQ Level 3 in Nail Services in 2013, and I was lucky enough to get an interview here the day after!  I’ve been working at Banbury’s since 2013 and I love it; I specialise in acrylic nail enhancements and LVL lashes, though I enjoy doing our full range of treatments. I always look forward to meeting new clients and seeing our lovely regulars, and transforming their nails and lashes to make them feel pampered! It’s such a rewarding and satisfying job and I love being part of the Banbury’s team!

Hi, I’m Paula and I joined the Banbury’s team in October 2015. I have been in the beauty industry for four years now after gaining my City & Guilds qualifications in Beauty Therapy, Nail Technologies, and Body and Spa Therapy at Petroc College.

I offer a wide range of treatments and I am dedicated to keeping my knowledge current in all of my beauty therapy disciplines, which means that I can offer a variety of up-to-date treatments tailored to each of my clients’ individual needs. I enjoy all aspects of my work and I am super passionate about every treatment, although, as a Dermalogica Expert, I thoroughly enjoy providing a relaxing treatment while educating clients about their skin and helping advise on products.

The best part of my job is knowing that I help my clients feel good about themselves, and they leave the salon feeling refreshed and pampered. I don’t just want my clients to look a million dollars; they should feel it too.

Hello, I'm Kirsty. My career in the beauty industry started in 2010 after completing my NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 in Beauty Therapies.

Before working at Banbury's Beauty Spa I was a Senior Therapist and managed a very busy salon for nine years in Somerset. Throughout the years I have continued to further my training in many treatments along with becoming a Caci Non-Surgical Lifting Specialist.

Making my clients feel their very best is my number one priority along with providing the best treatments with a very friendly manner and bubbly personality.

Hi, I’m Debbie. I qualified as an Allergy Intolerance Therapist (DipAIT) in 2005. I ran clinics alongside my health food shop which I had for 11 years; I also completed many courses in supplements and health in that time.

I am now a sales manager for a supplement company called Terranova and run food intolerance clinics once a month.

Hi, I’m Jade. My interest in beauty from a young age led me to pursue a career in the field and I completed my studies at North Devon College.  I gained qualifications in Level 2 Beauty Therapy, Level 3 Body and Spa Therapy and a Level 3 qualification as a Nail Technician. I continually further my professionaldevelopment by regularly attending additional courses to learn new skills and perfect my existing ones.  

I have over 5 years' experience in beauty and I am always passionate about learning the next new development or innovation in beauty to improve my clients' experience at the salon.  I absolutely love my job and enjoy every aspect of it, from seeing my clients and making them feel relaxed, to doing the treatments. I specialise in shellac, gel, manicure/pedicures, waxing, facials, massage and tanning.

Hello all Banbury’s guests! My name is Becky and I am joining the team as a receptionist! I have 7 years of beauty experience, trained with Elemis and Dermalogica during my training days of Beauty Therapy. I specialise in makeup and have worked for companies such as MAC, Nars, Urban Decay and more.

Not only have I been in the beauty industry, but I have worked as cabin crew for a very glamorous airline and managed my own team in the makeup world. I absolutely love making people feel good both on the outside and within, and I always love getting to know everyone and making them feel glam!I am so excited to be working for Banbury's and getting to know everyone who comes to visit!

INFORMATION & PRIVACY POLICY

SALON ETIQUETTE
  • If you are new to the salon, please arrive ten minutes prior to your appointment. This will allow time for you to complete the necessary health questionnaire.
  • The treatment time booked is the time we anticipate starting your treatment. If you are unable to arrive on time, please be aware that this may affect the duration or quality of your visit.
  • We strive to achieve an environment for all to relax and unwind in. Consequently, we politely request that all mobile phones are turned off or switched to silent mode.
  • We recommend bringing flip flops or open-toed sandals to wear after pedicure treatments to avoid spoiling regular nail polish applications.
  • For tanning treatments, please bring loose fitting, dark clothing to wear afterwards.
  • In order to maintain a safe, relaxing and professional environment for you and our other clients, we politely request that children are not brought to the salon unless absolutely unavoidable. Children without an appointment must be attended by another adult, who is not receiving treatment, at all times.
  • Heat treatments and strenuous exercise are not recommended after certain treatments. This includes sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms and swimming.
  • You will be required to wear underwear for any massage or body treatment.
  • Please arrive for eye treatments without eye makeup on.
  • Certain medical conditions may result in adaptation or refusal of treatment. Please mention any contraindications or changes in health or medical circumstances at the time of booking.
  • Children aged 16 or under who are receiving treatments must, without exception, be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. We regret that we will have to refuse treatment in the event that any child attends an appointment unaccompanied, and 50% of the treatment fee will be charged.
  • Alcohol should not be consumed before, during or immediately after treatments. Plenty of water should be consumed following treatments.
  • We kindly request that you read and adhere to the cancellation policy in order to avoid unnecessary charges.
CANCELLATION POLICY
The salon can be extremely busy so it is essential that we operate a strict 24-hour cancellation policy. If for any reason you are unable to attend your appointment, or wish to amend it, we request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to avoid you incurring a 50% fee of the total appointment charge. For this reason, you may be asked to pay a deposit at the time of booking.
PARKING
Free road-side parking is available for one hour outside the salon. Please be aware this is very limited, especially during school and public holidays.

Launceston also offers a pay and display multi-storey car park, or open air short and long stay car parks. All parking is within a 3-5 minute walking distance of the salon.
ACCESSIBILITY
The salon is accessed at the front by steps leading into the main reception area. There is an entrance to the rear of the building which is suitable for those who require level access. Please advise us in advance of your visit and a member of our team will be happy to assist you comfortably into the salon.
